Wow, I have been gone from this blog for so long! Hopefully I don’t give anyone a heart attack from this BRAND SPANKING NEW post, no seriously, please don’t have a heart attack, that would make me very sad. So anywho, I just finished clay baring and polishing roughly 75% of my car today, thought I’d take some pics before it gets water spots and dusty again.

I was lucky enough to discover the vignetting filter in my mom’s Samsung ST600, otherwise, I wouldn’t be getting pictures like these. Pictures were left untouched except for clone stamping the tripod out of one of the pictures, changing of the licence plate number (lmao), and water-marking.

Remix Artist Collective (RAC)

I found their remixes while searching for some music by an artist named ‘A-bee’. As I was scrolling through his blog to see what other musical treasures he hand posted, I came upon an album titled, ‘Stereogum presents RAC vol. 1.’ The author of the blog seemed to like their songs so I decided to download it to check it out. At first, it really didn’t hit me as interesting or grabbed my attention in any demanding way and so I left it by the wayside. However, today, I accidentally rediscovered the albums full potential by putting my iTunes to shuffle and cranking up the volume. When one of the songs on the album came up, it caught me by surprise because I couldn’t believe how spunky it sounded and the added beats really made you want to get up and dance! The bass was much more pronounced now with the increased volume and boy was it a helluva a beat. I did some more research and discovered that it was founded by a Portuguese remixer named Andre Anjos. He then recruited two more remix artists: Andrew Maury and Crookram. However, most of the songs released are remixes done by Andre Anjos. The RAC’s style of remixing is a detachment of the mainstream of popular techno/electro/trance remixes of rock/indie/alt songs. Instead of almost completely restructuring the original song and splicing bits and pieces of the original song into that remix, RAC contends to build from the original song, and enhancing it through simple loops that complement rather than recreate the original song. American Le Mans Series

I watched the American Le Mans Series at Sebring on the Speed channel today and once again, Audi has triumphed the competition with their new prototype and on top of that, the car wasn’t tuned to it’s full potential due to bad testing weather in Europe! Nothing short of amazing. There was a lot of focus on the P1 class as it contained the marvelous competition between Audi, Peugot, and the debut of the P1 Acura prototype. Unfortunately though, the two P1 Acuras suffered multiple mechanical issues during the race and could not contribute to the fierce competition in the P1 class. However, it’s only the beginning of the Le Mans season and so hopefully we’ll see a strong comeback. Yet again, I cannot get enough of the Audi Teams. Their pit strategy, precision, efficiency, and focus are revered in the racing industry. It’s not only the drivers that win the race but the synergy of the team managers and engineers/mechanics that creates a winning team. And Team Audi’s you can be sure is top notch. Since I didn’t watch the race until it was nearly over, I missed the new GT2 BMW M3 entrant. Apparently, it only did 27 laps. Eek! According to PitNotes, the car seemed to have suffered some kind of oil leak that couldn’t be fixed.

Man, is this Music March Madness or what?! That was a lot of m’s. Anyways, here’s another musical feature. Introducing Strange Fruit Project and The Procussions feat. SFP. To me, this is the only type of hip-hop I can relate to because I’m not filthy rich who can afford a mansion, Bentleys, gold teeth caps, nor do I have the need to bang as many girls as possible to show the other guy how pimp I am because, truthfully, I can’t really get any, and lastly, I’ve never been shot or involved gang related violence. So yeah, basically, this music applies to the regular people who just want to listen to some good ol’ music with substance. Excuse me for my unusual ramblings, my posts usually do not contain any character so I decided to spice this one up. Enjoy!

Hi all, so this week has been unbelievably stressful for me for I’ve been studying for three exams. Just finished two yesterday and now all I have left is the evil Biochemistry midterm this Friday…ewwww. As I like to say, ‘no rest for the procrastinators.’ But to liven-up my spirits, I like to listen to relaxing jazzy type music, for instance, Love Theme from Spartacus recreated by Quasar!! Watchmen

So I watched Watchmen Friday night and, overall, it was interesting. But it started off soo slow, I mean, I had to actually pay attention to keep awake. Usually, when I go to see movies, I just mindlessly watch because it’s the creative cinematography, awesome CG’s, humor, action, and suspense that keeps my eyes glued onto the screen. Not that this movie didn’t have any of these, but the way it was presented needed an audience that was more interested in the social or psychological insanity of humans. The movie’s plot was like sitting in a train and watching the hills gently rise up and down, and then when you were nearing your stop, there’d be some cows chewing on grass to accompany your vague interests. Though there were some climaxes to grab your attention, it wasn’t built up too well. And there were so many distractions that you’d have to take notes to understand where the story was going. Granted, I have yet to read the comic, and squeezing the entire series into a nearly 3hr movie is quite a feat I will give praise to. Other than that, if you’re into the comic, or just want to see some swanky superheroes, sex, watch some mentally f*cked up characters, and a glowing blue man that can practically do anything except understand human-beings, than go ahead and knock your socks off. But I have to say, there were a lot of interesting social and psychological aspects of the movie. And Rorschach was the coolest character by far. My favorit quote, “You guys don’t understand, I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked up in here with ME!” or something along those lines. But so badass.

Remioromen – konayuki piano music sheet

So today I wanted to listen to some past favorites and got around to listening Remioromen – Konayuki, the theme song to 1 liter of Tears –a Japanese drama about a girl who is a afflicted by spinocerebellar dystrophy or in laymen terms, the degeneration of her central nervous system. It’s based on a true story and I recommend it if you’re into watching sad dramas, lots of crying will ensue. Anyways, so after listening to it I realized that I’ve been trying to look for the piano solo of this song, so I decided to try my luck again because the last time, I searched and searched and couldn’t find the music sheets BUT this time, SUCCESS!!
